Carefree Cruising is owned and managed by Artie and Ruth Chalmers and John Pickin.

Artie and Ruth’s background is in management and retail. Before setting up Carefree Cruising Artie, (a qualified Chartered Accountant) was Managing Director of a 130 strong retail chain and Ruth was an Area Manager with responsibility for 40 shops. John is a time served Cabinetmaker, who has been fitting out quality narrowboats for nearly ten years.
